First of all, sorry we still don't have the comments up and running yet. We really enjoy getting feedback from you guys and we hope to get it all fixed soon. For now, you can always send us emails, we love those too!
Of all the thoughts that swim through my brain on a daily basis, I think the most common one is: "This would make a pretty good game!"
I've had a fascination with games for as long as I can remember. What makes a game fun? What makes it addictive? What are the components of a bad game? I have a closet full of boardgames, roleplaying games and miniature games as well as a computer full of videogames as a testament to my obsession.
Here are some of the games I've been playing recently:
Malifaux: A miniature skirmish game, I've only played one game so far. You guys may remember me mentioning this one earlier. I've started painting these miniatures, but the matte varnish spray I used completely ruined the paint job by leaving tiny little white specks all over. Well, damn.
Warmachine: Another miniature game, this one involving Warrior-Wizards called Warcasters and their giant steam-powered machines of war. I don't actually own any of these miniatures (yet), but I've played a game with a friend. It's fast-paced and very brutal. Playing all these different miniature games also made me realize that Warhammer, while being the most popular, really isn't the best miniature game out there.
Left 4 Dead: I don't think I'll ever get tired of this game. A cooperative online game where you shoot and kill hordes of crazed zombies? Score!
So anyway, why all the gaming talk? Well, I figured it was about time I got together with some friends and took my obsession to the next level.
