Frank and I spent most of last Saturday planning the next Edemia story arc, which, as we’ve mentioned, will feature Juno and Maya. Its working title is Theobold Manor and it's partly inspired by H.P. Lovecraft (Theobold is one of his pen names).
Anyway, we usually jump into a story arc with just a general idea of what’s going to happen, and then just make it up as we go along. But we found that it wasn’t the best way to write a story. We often found ourselves panic-planning in the middle of the week, and you could usually tell when a page was hastily written.
So the next story is the first one that we’ve actually planned out from start to finish. We designed every page and panel and wrote every line. I think it's a good system. It's the most complex story we've come up with so far and we plan to work like this from now on. We’ve got a long way to go, but I’m pretty proud of this one. :)
In other news, Edemia now has a Facebook page. There's not a whole lot on it yet, but feel free to Like it, we'll be making regular updates there soon. You can also post comments/suggestions/requests, especially when we start the what-ifs for Edemia North.
