1) Man’s experience with pie dates back to the Egyptian Neolithic period, around 9500 B.C. Early pies consisted of honey wrapped in some sort of cereal, like oats or barley, so basically they were granola bars in non-bar form and with less organic hoopla.
2) The world’s most expensive pie was made in Northwestern England in 2006. It was a meat pie made with Wagyu beef fillets, 24-year-old French wine, gold leaf, black truffles, and Chinese mushrooms so rare and valuable that the plants are watched by armed guards. It sold for $1,990 per slice, champagne included.
Oh, not that kind of pie.
Cornier-than-Iowa* introductions aside, Edemia World would like to wish its readers a lovely Pi Day. We are celebrating this most important holiday with a contest, which we’ve named “Help Bob and Joe Make a Berry Pie for Xany’s Birthday.”
You see, Grok, out of the kindness of his ogre heart, has decided to let the gang partake in his precious berries and give Xany a surprise birthday pie. Trouble is, Bob and Joe can’t decide what to put in it. Grok’s still growing the antiberries, so it’s out of the question.
So, what should go into Xany’s birthday pie, and why?
