Zombies: To be, to shoot.

Frank here,

Between my office job, this comic, digital art courses and other projects, I’ve had precious little time for anything besides eating and sleeping. My first apology goes out to June, who’s been nothing but patient and supportive. My second apology goes out to the readers. I’ve been working hard to keep the site on schedule, but I’ve had a few slip-ups and I hope I didn’t disappoint too badly. Things are starting to steady themselves now, so things’ll be going better.

In other news, the only game I’ve managed to play lately is Left4Dead 2. I find shooting zombies a deeply relaxing activity, and the added perk of being able to do it with friends just makes it all the better. So Sebby and i have been blasting our way through swamps and malls with great gusto. One thing we both seem to be missing, however, is more friends who actually own the game. So far we’ve settled for random people, with mixed results. Mixed meaning that the best we’ve found are people with a basic understanding of working as a team (ie: don’t shoot your friends and/or run off on your own). So yeah, anyone around here own L4D2 and doesn’t have the IQ of boiled cabbage?

UPDATE: I forgot, I’m playing on the PC.

Late comic & your thoughts needed

Hi guys!

Sorry about all the delays. Frank is working on a side project and I’ve had school and work, so we’ve both been zombies this week (Frank especially), and it’s not the cool skull-exposed brain-eating kind. But we should be back to regular postings next week. :)

We’re also working on a few site updates, and at this point we could really use some feedback. So, tell us what stories you’d like to see, which characters you want to see more of or know more about… anything that could make Edemia a better site. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Have a great week, and see you next Monday :)

We blame Joe

Hello world!

Santa Claus gave both of us the flu for Christmas, so we’re taking a break this week. Meanwhile, here’s a series of concept sketches we used to design some of our characters. We’ll get back to Xany’s wonderfully happy life next Monday.

Hope everyone had a good Christmas!

Sincerely and with love that burns hotter than a coronal mass ejection,

June and Frank

7th Son: Descent

Hai world, June here.

Okay, so Edemia is part of TopWebComics.com, a site that helps independent comic artists and writers. One of their members, JC Hutchins, has just gotten his first book published. It’s called 7th Son: Descent and he’s been publishing it online for free for a while (he still is, actually). That’s pretty impressive; it’s the kind of thing we’d like to do with Edemia one day. :)

Now to get the next two books in print, Mr Hutchins needs to have a strong following on the first. So we’re all helping promote it throughout November and December, because we’re nice like that and also because it’s a great series and it’s always nice to share the webcomic love.

Here’s more info from Richard Mathis of TWC:

The president of the United States is dead. He was murdered in the morning sunlight by a four-year-old boy…
Welcome to J.C. Hutchins’ SF thriller 7th Son: Descent, a novel set in present day featuring human cloning, dangerous technologies, and “beyond Top Secret” government conspiracies. I’m letting everyone know about an exciting publication that started as an online podcast, and now is being sold in stores everywhere. And whats more amazing than a fellow internet creator bringing his works from the free digital format to the printed page, is that he’s still publishing everything for free online. If you want to check this out, listen to the book for free, read it for free, or even buy the book, check out his site over here: JCHutchins.net You could even join the ranks of his online army by participating in Warvember just like I am.

So that’s it for now. I hope everyone has/had/is currently having (hard to tell with time zones) a good weekend. Don’t forget to check out tomorrow’s comic!

Cheers.

Comic’s going to be late!

Sorry guys!

Because of a few setbacks, the comic is going to be a day late. For now, please enjoy this artwork I did a week ago.
